Teleportation
The original app suffered from user mobility issues. So to improve user mobility and interaction, I introduced teleportation across all Boulevard VR experiences. I used the new Lobby as my training ground for teaching Teleportation to users. The teleport mechanic is activated by gaze triggers on the floor and in points of interest such as artwork on walls and other objects in the space. The teleport locations guarantee that the user will always be in the optimal viewing position and orientation for the object. This allows the design to gently lead the user through the experience by eliminating jarring movement and confusing visual ques.
